About Us
Founded in 2000 as Lifeworks International, the Center for Liberia’s Future, Inc. was created to address the absence of Liberian-owned research organizations. Initially based in the United States, our organization specialized in evaluation, research, training, and organizational development support for local and international clients. Over the years, we have worked with prestigious partners such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the World Health Organization, the United Nations, the Cummings Foundation, the City of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, and the City of Benton Harbor, Michigan.
In 2018, following the loss of our founder and chief investigator, the Center shifted its focus from research to a mission dedicated to empowering the next generation of Liberian leaders. Today, the Center for Liberia’s Future is committed to fostering education, leadership development, and community outreach to provide Liberian children and youth with the tools they need to create a brighter future. Through innovative programs and strategic partnerships, we aim to address Liberia’s key challenges in education, leadership, and socio-economic empowerment.
The Rebranded Center for Liberia's Future (CFLF)
Our shift in focus was founded out of a passionate desire to transform Liberia into a nation where individuals are empowered, educated, and guided by ethical principles to contribute to sustainable development. Therefore, the organization envisions a Liberia where every person plays a significant role in advancing society, inspired by their potential and equipped with the knowledge to do so.
CFLF’s core mission is to empower the people and communities of Liberia through innovative, sustainable initiatives that promote education, leadership, economic growth, and environmental stewardship.
CFLF has six thematic areas: Entrepreneurship, Mentorship, Education, Innovation, Community Engagement, and Sustainability. These pillars reflect the organization’s dedication to driving Liberia’s progress through a holistic approach to development.
We believe in the potential of every Liberian to embrace who they are, define their future, and contribute to positive change in our nation.
